Spring lecture series with BALH

In Spring 2024, the Trust is again partnering with the British Association for Local History to offer a series of online lectures about or associated with our projects.

 

On 29 February, Tony Kirby talked about making the new map of Cambridge, published in November 2023.

On 28 March, James Winterbotham and Keith Wade introduced the Trust’s new project to create a map of Ipswich.

 

On 17 April at 7.00, Emily Robinson will speak on Local histories of a lost town: researching the island of Ravenser Odd, a short-lived medieval town at the mouth of the Humber, near Hull. For details and booking, click here.

 

On 23 April at 7.00, Stephanie Brown will explore Mapping female-perpetrated murder in medieval English towns. For details and booking, click here.All these talks are open to the public; they are free to BALH members, £5.00 to others. Recordings of the talks are available to BALH members.
